To make a credential which can be used by the volunteer to sign in at a kiosk using a barcode scanner, include the field Credential barcode from the People pipeline.
Begin by placing a DBBarCode object on the report (the button).
Along the top, select the People pipeline, then the Credential barcode field.
On the Properties pane on the left, under BarCode, set the option BarCodeType to bcCode128. This uses the Code128 encoding scheme for the barcode, which is the only one which can encode the appropriate data.
When the credential is printed and saved, this barcode can be scanned and the volunteer can log in and log out without requiring a User ID or password.
