Web news items appear on the main page of the VSys Web interface, and are a place for you to place news items, requests for help, giving opportunities, or pretty much any other information you want displayed. Use the Web news editor to define news items.

This will appear at the top of each news item on the website. |
First shown |
First date that the news item will show. If the current day is before this date, the news item will be visible here in the editor but not on the website. |
Last shown |
Last date that the news item will show. If the current day is after this date, the news item will be visible here in the editor but not on the website. |
Effective date |
The date that appears on the news item itself. It does not affect when the news item is visible. |
Other |
Notes about to whom the news item will be visible. |
Right-click tools
Add a news item |
Creates a new news item from scratch. |
Edit |
Edits this news item in the Web News Item editor. |
View |
Opens this news item in read-only mode. |
Delete/Un-delete |
Marks the current item for deletion (or for non-deletion). |
For VSys Web, these changes do not affect the actual website until you've synchronized your database with the web database.
For VSys Live, these changes take effect immediately.
