VSys works with a wide variety of hardware for the kiosk, and we don’t recommend any specific configuration. Any Windows-compatible touch screen should work, as do a wide variety of magnetic stripe and barcode readers for instant volunteer sign-in.
The computer running the kiosk needs Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 or 8.1, at least 512MB of memory (2GB for Vista or Windows 7/8), and a network connection to your database server. A touch screen display is easier to use, but a mouse and basic display will work, and a keyboard is optional to allow volunteers to fill out complete forms in the kiosk.
If you’re using the hosted version of VSys One, or if you internally deploy VSys One using Terminal Services, you can run VSys Kiosk using any kind of device that has a Remote Desktop client such as an iPad or other tablet.
