Mobile Alternate Pages

On a single page you can set individual items to be visible or hidden on mobile and non-mobile devices. For example to make a dynamic banner only visible in desktop (non-mobile) browsers, right-click on that item on the page, select Mobile browsers and then Non-mobile browsers only.

To replace entire pages based on their being accessed from a mobile device, use the If accessed from mobile device... field for a page. If a page is specified there, and this page is being loaded from a mobile device such as a smart phone, VSys Live will show the page you specify instead of this one.

If the mobile page is Hidden, VSys will stay with the current page.

Changing mobile mode

Based on the site visitor's browser and the mobile browser rules, VSys Live will automatically determine if it should display as mobile or not mobile. To allow the user to switch back and forth between mobile and not mobile manually, you can place two fields on the page in a custom HTML block: Switch to mobile site and Switch to desktop site. If VSys Live considers the user to be on a mobile device, Switch to mobile site will be empty, and Switch to desktop site will have a hyperlink in it that, when clicked, tells VSys Live to consider this user to be on a non-mobile device. If VSys Live thinks the user is on a non-mobile device, the opposite will be true: Switch to mobile site will have a hyperlink in it that tells VSys Live to consider the user mobile, while Switch to desktop site will be blank.
