Notifications Subscriptions Tool

In the Notifications subscriptions tool you can:

Define Subscriptions, rules and types
run subscriptions (generate notifications)
archive/de-archive subscriptions
and deliver subscriptions.

On the left navigation bar

Subscriptions

Add subscription	Prompts you to select a person in VSys, then creates a subscription for that individual.
Setup notification rules	Opens the tools for defining how notifications are delivered.
Setup subscription types	Defines types for subscriptions.

Tools

Refresh	Reloads the data on screen in case any other users have made changes.
Show eligible subscriptions	Lists all subscriptions which are currently eligible (not inactive, not run too recently, etc.) without running them.
Run eligible subscriptions	Finds all subscriptions which are currently eligible (not inactive, not run too recently, etc.) and runs them.

Import Export

Import subscriptions	Imports subscriptions that were exported from another copy of VSys.
Archive notifications	Opens the tool for archiving old notifications to disk.
De-archive notifications	Use this to reload archived notifications back into the database.

Add

Add from template

Adds an example, built-in subscription.

Delivery of notifications

Deliver e-mail notifications	For previously-generated notifications which are intended for e-mail delivery, delivers those notifications if possible.
Deliver SMS	For previously-generated notifications which are intended for SMS/text message delivery, delivers those notifications if possible.

Right-click on the list of subscriptions to work with an existing subscription or to create a new one.

On the right-click menu

Add subscription...

See subscribers.

View/Edit

Opens the subscription for viewing (read-only) or editing.

Change subscriber

Changes the designated subscriber for this subscription. Note that subscriptions associated with individuals can only be changed to other individuals, and automatic, general, primary supervisor and referenced person subscriptions cannot have their subscriber changed.

Make disabled, Make enabled

A disabled subscription will never run.

Subscription

See notifications	Opens the notifications viewer and shows notifications generated by this subscription.
Send manual notification	Creates a notification for this subscriber with text that you provide, and associates it with this subscription. This is a one time message.
Run	Runs this subscription, generating notifications for the events within it.
Deliver e-mail notifications	Attempts to deliver all pending e-mail notifications associated with this subscription.
Deliver SMS/text message notifications	Attempts to deliver all pending SMS/text message notifications associated with this subscription.

Subscriber


See notifications		Opens the notifications viewer and shows all notifications for this subscriber, not just the currently-selected subscription.
Send manual notification		Creates a notification for this subscriber with text that you provide.
Deliver e-mail notifications		Attempts to deliver all pending e-mail notifications associated with this subscriber.
Deliver SMS/text message notifications		Attempts to deliver all pending SMS/text message notifications associated with this subscriber.

Delete

Deletes the subscription and its events. Notifications previously generated by this subscription are not deleted.

Duplicate

Makes a copy of this subscription.

See tracked changes

Opens up a window which shows the editing history of this subscription as well as its full activity log.

Clipboard

Copy/paste subscriptions using the Windows clipboard.
