Scheduled Notifications

Notifications can be generated manually, but the most efficient way to do it is using a scheduled task.

Once notifications are generated they also need to be delivered. Notifications are not delivered by any of the E-mail Robot variants, they use their own special, internal tools for that. E-mail, SMS and social media notifications are delivered separately using separate tools.

Before notifications are delivered, if they're more than five minutes old, VSys will first check to see if they're still relevant. For example, a notification about a slot still needing people will be checked to ensure that the slot still needs people - its status may have changed between the time the notification was generated and the time it's sent out. Any notifications that VSys finds to be no longer relevant are discarded and not delivered.
