Based on the results returned by Sterling Volunteers, VSys may automatically set the Status of a background check request.
Status is Cancelled |
Any values coming from VV will be ignored. |
Vendor status is Complete or InProgress and the Processing status in the request is Adjudicated. |
No changes will be made, this is considered a regression (less complete) result than the current values. |
Vendor status is Complete |
Change the request's Status to Pending adjudication on vendor website. VSys will still attempt to download updated results for that request, but a user must go into Sterling Volunteers' website to deal with any issues associated with the request before its status will change in Sterling Volunteers. |
Vendor status is Adjudicated and Vendor result is Eligible |
Change the request's Status to Retrieved and handled. Create or update a "Background results" certification with a Result of Green: Unrestricted and an Expiration date appropriate based on the Sterling Volunteers settings. |
Vendor status is Adjudicated and Vendor result is not Eligible |
Change the request's Status to Retrieved, awaiting manual handling. A user must approve, reject or take any appropriate action, including sending - as appropriate - adverse action notifications to the applicant. |
VSys does not adjudication, and makes no decisions on its own: VSys only records those adjudication statuses decided elsewhere (in this case by or on Sterling Volunteer's website).
