VSys Live runs directly from within your IT department, works directly with your live database, and is 100% under your control. It comes in three layers:
The website itself, running Apache and Rails
VOXI, the VSys One eXchange Interface which connects to your SQL Server database and provides all of the VSys business logic
Your SQL Server database.
As a staff member or administrator, everything you do will be within VSys One (the Windows application). Volunteers go through VSys Live which gives them a web interface to just their personal information. VSys Live offers:
Secure (SSL) connections for volunteers
Live signup for jobs with real-time information about openings
Live hours entry
Tools for your volunteers to send you messages
Form updating so that volunteers can update their existing data without filling out forms from scratch. Changes made by you or your volunteers take effect immediately with no synchronization needed.
