Reference Checks and VSys Live

If you have VSys Live, you can include a web link in your reference check letters that lets the reference complete the reference check online. There are a few major steps in this process:

1. Update the reference check certification if needed to capture additional fields and/or accept more than one reference in a single application.
2. Create the VSys Live application that captures the relevant information from the volunteer when signing up.
3. Create the VSys Live application that will be used by the reference to respond to the request. (This is the counselor, employer, etc.)
4. Create the letter template used to notify the reference that their input is required.
5. Create the mail merge settings that generate the reference check letters.
6. Create a scheduled task that runs that mail merge.

Sending and managing reference checks via VSys Live is not part of the standard VSys Live implementation. In general, installing and configuring this option comes with an additional fee. See Advanced features for information.
