To show a specific survey when a volunteer checks in using VSys Live or the VSys Live Kiosk, in the Self Check in/Check out action link (VSys Live) or the Kiosk Check In/Check Out action link (VSys Live Kiosk), select a survey as the Required survey at checkin. When a volunteer uses one of these tools and is not not currently checked in to an assignment, job association or training, and one or more surveys are selected here, VSys will look at each one in an arbitrary order. If it finds one that is:
Not Inactive and is valid for VSys Live, and
Valid for the current person based on Person type, Group, Lists, etc., and
The volunteer has not completed any of these surveys without any alerts in the last five minutes, then the survey will be presented to the volunteer as a required form to be completed.
Notes:
Why select more than one survey? You may have different requirements at different locations. Selecting multiple surveys lets VSys find which (if any) is applicable to the current volunteer.
If the volunteer closes the survey by clicking X or Cancel, he/she will be immediately logged out.
VSys won't try to present all of these surveys, just the first one that is applicable to the logged-in volunteer.
Any First date to show, Last date to show, Valid VSys Live sites, and Allow the same person to respond.. settings in the survey itself are ignored. Why? VSys assumes that you're using this as a screening survey to determine if the volunteer should be permitted on site; if they're checking out then they're already here, and any recency requirements are overruled under the assumption that you're going to want to screen that volunteer every time they check in.
Setting Applicable to to Check in limits the survey's use to only VSys Live or VSys Live Kiosk check in, meaning that it won't appear on menus and more importantly won't be presented as a required survey at any other time.
