Add a User Field

User fields allow you to add whatever field labels you want to a new field. Unlike data fields, user fields do not affect or use data outside of the application form itself, with the exception of the special field types of Availability checkboxes and Job slot selection. To add a user field,

1. Click the Add user field link.
2. A drop-down list opens from which you can select fields of a specified type, such as a Date field.
3. Enter the name of your new user field and click the OK button.
4. Click on the list of existing fields to the right to place your new field.
5. VSys displays the new user field on the screen.

VSys Live only: A user field under Attachment represents a file attached to this application's layout. Placing it on an application creates a link in VSys Live that the user can click on to download that attached file. (This type of field isn't for uploading files, but for downloading ones that you attached to the application's design.)
