Allows volunteers (or anyone else with access to the tool) to create VSys Live news items.
One organization uses this to let docents post news for other docents. The news items are tagged as "Docent", and a listing visible only to docents shows only those news items.

In addition to the calendar item description and dates, any fields checked here are visible to the user creating the calendar item. |
Approval status |
You'd commonly set this to "Pending approval" so that any news items created this way are hidden until they've been approved. |
News/calendar item tags |
Newly-created items here will get these tags by default. Useful as a filter when displaying calendar items. |
Allow uploading images |
If checked, allows the user to include images with the calendar item. |
