Table Permissions Diagnostics

The Table Permissions Diagnostics tool verifies that for each VSys One table in your database, VSys can perform all of the required operations for normal use. When run, VSys will perform a SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE and DELETE operation on every table and log any errors that it encounters.

When to use this tool

Run this tool after changing any permissions on your SQL Server database to ensure that the currently logged-in user has the appropriate access to your SQL Server database. You may be instructed at other times by the VSys One support team to run this tool to diagnose the cause of other issues.

The appFields table is not tested for INSERT, UPDATE or DELETE.

The trace table requires INSERT and SELECT rights, but not UPDATE or DELETE. If one or both of these latter two is missing VSys will continue to work normally and users will be unable to purge the trace table (not necessarily a bad thing).
