VSys Live is the volunteer-facing component to VSys One: it provides tools to your volunteers to let your volunteers manage themselves.
It starts out as a flexible framework that's entirely modular. VSys Live provides a structure in which the features and tools of our volunteer management system can be added, changed and arranged.
Customization
VSys Live comes with a set of "blocks" (tools) that can be used to build the pages that volunteers interact with. This means that your VSys Live site can be very different from every other VSys Live site, be styled with your branding and provide just the tools that you want to give to the volunteers. CSS is used extensively for styling of delivered web pages. A basic built-in CSS is provided but you can override this on a system-wide or page-by-page basis to make VSys Live look the way you want it to.
Put the "Sign in" block anywhere on the page, rename its terms. Want a calendar on the main page? Show surveys in a side panel with your graphics in the background? Customized blocks with user-designed content? All of these are very straightforward with VSys Live. With VSys Live your volunteers can:
Want to use you own language terms? VSys Live lets you translate it into different languages, even English so VSys will use your terminology, overriding its own.
VSys Live ships with a basic set of defined pages (main screen, signup, job search, etc.), but this does not limit the scope of the pages that can generate. Pages are built by placing blocks and menus within template regions. No need to write HTML or code: drag-and-drop blocks, menus and images onto the page. It’s that easy!
Volunteer experience
VSys Live works with most major browsers (Firefox, IE, Chrome, Safari) and uses secure (encrypted) connections. You can even define a "mobile" version of your site that connects to the same database but looks different and can have a different set of features and rules.
Multiple sites
Want to use VSys Live in-house only for specific tasks? Have two different versions of VSys Live, one for in-house use (e.g. job check in/out) and a public one for online applications? Multiple departments, hospitals or organizational units that use the same volunteers and database but want their own unique look? No problem: VSys Live lets you define multiple sites on the same database each with different available features and appearances.
