The VSys developers make no pretense of being able to predict every bit of information you'll need to track, and so you can create and use any number of custom fields within VSys. The Custom fields panel shows these fields and their values for that individual person.
Custom fields can be set up globally, so they are available everywhere, both within and outside of projects. They can also be project-specific, that is, set up specifically for a project and only accessed within that project.
If your administrator created any custom fields for your organization, you will see Custom fields listed when you view, edit, or change personal information. If your administrator did not create any custom fields for your organization, Custom fields will not display.
There are various types of fields that may appear on this panel, depending on what your administrator set up. Enter information in the custom fields on the screen.

Displays a list, such as a drop-down list of check boxes, that lets you check multiple selections from the list. |
Grouping |
Lets you group multiple people together. Click on the three dots "..." to the right of this field or press the F2 key to select a person for this grouping. |
Associates one person with another person. Click on the three dots "..." to the right of this field or press the F2 key to select a person for this role. |
We track the marital status, education and race of our volunteers for reporting purposes to track our efforts in reaching the widest and sometimes ignored portions of our local community. To that end, we've created custom fields to store this data for each volunteer.
