Expiring Certifications Reports

This will report on certifications of any kind with a set range of expiration dates, plus other criteria you specify. This can be run for only one kind of certification at a time, but it is very easy to use. Use this report to see:

• Whose TB test is about to expire?
• Whose HIPAA training did expire?

These reports are obsolete: while they continue to work in VSys, custom column reports will do all that the expiring certification reports will do, only better and with more flexibility.

Steps in this task

1. From the VSys One home screen, go to the Reports panel and click on the Expiring certifications link under People.
   
2. If the Select saved report window opens, choose the saved or built-in report you would like to use and click Select. Or click on the Load settings link under Tools to bring up a list of options.
3. On the Settings panel, set the Report title, then choose the type of certification to work with and the expiration date range.
4. Set filters on Groups, People types, Volunteer types, Team filters and lists.
5. Choose any Sorting for your report. Click the Add sort link to add a sort. The (no page break)/with page break links add a page break when this field changes. Toggle the up and down arrows to change the direction of the sort.
6. Select your Output options.
7. Click Print to run the report.

Sample Expiring Certifications Report

In the Report Designer, normally you get one pipeline for each type of certification. This one's special: there's a "magic" pipeline called "Certifications", and in it you can use the fields which are common to all certifications: Description, Effective date, Expiration date, and Other info. Other info can contain multiple fields. Configure this in certifications setup.
