Rather than using a monolithic design where the layout and tools are fixed, VSys Live lets you design your own site but without having to write HTML or code.
A VSys Live site is comprised of one or more pages. You can create pages such as "Main", "Job signup", "About us", "Contact", etc.
Each VSys Live site has a single layout. That layout defines the regions into which various things can be placed: blocks, menus and graphics.
Blocks are functional objects such as "Sign in", "Send a message", "Sign up for jobs", etc. VSys Live comes with a set of these built in and more can be developed. Blocks are then placed into regions on pages in order to show them to site visitors. Blocks can be turned on and off by visitor status (logged-in or not) and can be individually configured on a page-by-page basis.
You define menus and use them to link to other pages, to actions such as filling out an application or sending a message, or as placeholders for other child menus.
Graphics are defined by you and can be re-used on any number of pages.
You can define template pages. These are pages which aren't actually used, but which serve as the design basis for other pages. This lets you build a standard page (or set of pages) and then create other pages based on those. Changing a template page changes the other pages that it's based on, this allows you to modify whole sets of pages in a single operation.
VSys Live comes with very little built-in "style". This is intentional. By VSys Live having little style of its own, it's easy for you to use CSS to get VSys Live to look the way you want it and not be locked into the same feel that everyone else's site has.
